Civil war has 2 ways of happening ,im not 100% sure but i think its like this , 1 will happen when you reach Imperium level with your people and the other one is due several factors .
Such as having to much or to few control on your council, senate, etc of your faction ,try to have always around 40% to 60% , try to not expand to fast without the happiness of your new conquests is under control , lack of food, unhappiness in general and that's it .
As always on TW you have to balance your game in military and civilian aspect, but, on Rome II ,in my opinion, you have to be more concentrated and more perfect .Its not only rush rush rush as it was till today on previous TW games.
And i too think Rome II was made in a way for the player to play till the end ,there is some type of phases during the campaign some more easy other more hard .
I still don't know if civil wars are activated on a certain date ignoring all the factors mentioned above.
But we all know that the AI ,on campaign must be more aggressive and on the battlefield return to the AI we had on Shogun II ,a example is when the AI is attacking cities , he should be able to deploy on the start on several places of the map as it was with Shogun II . Making the AI more versatile and dynamic on siege battles .
